Feelin' Groovy
at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center.
In the spring of 1984, Central Catholic High School on Center Street was in need of some capital improvements on its building, erected in 1898. In order to raise the substantial amount of money required for these repairs, a major fundraiser was needed. It took two years of planning and gift-gathering to launch the first dinner auction in our diocese. On Friday, April 25, 1986 Central Catholic High School hosted the very first Saints Alive, with the theme of "Camelot." Generous community, business and personal contributions helped CCHS meet her fundraising goal that spring.
Now an annual event, Saints Alive still relies on the generosity of the community businesses and individuals to support the needs of CCHS. Plans are now underway for our next Saints Alive to be held April 17, 2010 at the Doubletree Hotel in Bloomington, IL. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a preview of live and silent auction items. A cocktail hour, delicious dinner and live and silent auctions are evening highlights.
Please join us on April 17 for "Feelin' Groovy" - and don't forget those go-go boots!
